Mummy Daddy Appalam (also called papad or papar) is a thin, crisp, round flatbread from India. It is typically based on a seasoned dough usually made from peeled black gram flour (urad flour), either fried or cooked with dry heat (usually flipping it over an open flame). Flours made from other sources such as lentils, chickpeas, rice, tapioca, certain millets or potato can be used.. Its a healthy option and can be quickly prepare. Our objective is to bring back healthy traditions into indian homes.
- While frying heat oil in a pan for frying and when it hot, bring down the flame to medium and fry the appalam.
- This appalam will fry so fast and so ensure that it should not change colour while frying.
